The Situation
Ingrid and Lothar’s basement was a dark, cluttered storage space with aging, inefficient systems. It lacked the warmth and light needed for the entertaining they loved, leaving the home's lower level both uncomfortable and underutilized.
Our Strategy
We performed a partial gut to upgrade the envelope with a new furnace, heat pump, and water heater via the Greener Homes Grant. We then reimagined the space with Mediterranean-inspired textures, custom ceilings, and a dedicated laundry-utility suite.
Their Success
Inspired by Provence, the basement is now a sun-drenched, inviting sanctuary. By blending high-efficiency technology with warm European tones and refinished custom shelving, we transformed a forgotten storage area into the home’s favorite destination for gathering.
